Welcome to the second edition of Birla Tech Fest 2024! Building on the success of last year, this Inter-School event once again brings together the brightest young minds from across Jammu & Kashmir to compete in a variety of technology-driven challenges.

Hosted by Birla Open Minds International School, Pampore, Birla Tech Fest 2024 offers students an exciting platform to showcase their skills in coding, designing, robotics, and much more. This event not only fosters healthy competition but also encourages collaboration, creativity, and innovation among the future leaders of technology.

Coding Challenge

  1. Description: Students will participate in a timed coding challenge where they solve programming problems or build simple applications.
  2. Languages: Participants can use Scratch for younger students and Python for older students.
  3. Format: Individual or team-based competition with varying difficulty levels:
    1. Level 1 (L1): Basic coding problems.
    2. Level 2 (L2): Intermediate coding problems.
    3. Level 3 (L3): Advanced coding problems.
  4. Judging Criteria: Correctness of code, efficiency, and creativity.
  5. Grades: 6 to 10


Digital Art and Graphics Design

  1. Description:Participants will create digital artwork or graphics using tools like Adobe Photoshop for older students and digital art sites for younger students.
  2. Format: Individual competition with themes or specific design briefs.
  3. Judging Criteria: Creativity, technical skills, and adherence to the theme.
  4. Grades: 3 to 10


Cybersecurity Quiz

  1. Description:A quiz competition focused on cybersecurity concepts and practices.
  2. Format: Individual or team-based, featuring multiple-choice and scenario-based questions using Testmoz or similar platforms.
  3. Judging Criteria: Knowledge accuracy and speed.
  4. Grades: 3 to 5


Tech Innovation Pitch

  1. Description: Students will present a tech innovation or startup idea, including a business plan and prototype if available.
  2. Format: Team-based presentations followed by a Q&A session.
  3. Judging Criteria: Feasibility, innovation, and presentation skills.
  4. Grades: 8 to 10


Unjumble: Data Organization Challenge

  1. Description: Participants will use tools like Excel to organize and analyze a set of jumbled data.
  2. Format: Individual or team-based, with varying levels of difficulty.
  3. Judging Criteria: Accuracy of data organization, efficiency in using Excel tools, and clarity of analysis.
  4. Grades: 6 to 10


RoboBuild: Innovative Robotics Design Challenge

  1. Description: Participants will design and build a functional robotic device that serves a useful purpose. The challenge focuses on creativity, practicality, and the real-world application of the robotic device.
  2. Format: Team-based (2-4 participants per team). Each team will present their robotic device, explaining its design, functionality, and intended use case. Demonstrations of the device in action are encouraged.
  3. Judging Criteria: Innovation in design, practicality and effectiveness of the use case, quality of construction, and clarity in the presentation of the device's purpose and functionality.
  4. Grades: 5 to 10
